Apple iPhone 16 Plus in Kenya

The iPhone 16 Plus was launched in September 2024 alongside the iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 16 and 16 Pro. Pre-orders began on September 09, 2024, and the devices was made available on September 20, 2024. It landed in Kenya in September 2024.  The iPhone 16 Plus will be available at City hub at Ksh.130,000 for the 128GB and Ksh.144,000 for the 256GB

It has a 6.7-inch display, offering a large and immersive viewing experience. The phone features a 48MP Fusion camera with a 2x Telephoto option and a new Ultra-Wide camera for macro photography. It is powered by the A18 chip, it promises significant improvements in performance and efficiency. There’s a notable boost in battery life, making it more reliable for extended use. This new feature leverages Apple-built generative models to enhance user experience while maintaining privacy.

Apple Intelligence

Build

The Apple iPhone 16 Plus features a sleek and durable build. It has a color-infused back glass, which not only looks vibrant but also adds to the phone’s durability. Display

The Apple iPhone 16 Plus features a stunning 6.7-inch OLED display, offering a resolution of 2778 x 1284 pixels, providing sharp and vibrant visuals. It can reach up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness, ensuring excellent visibility even in bright sunlight. The display supports a 60Hz refresh rate, which is smooth for most daily tasks. With support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision, the display delivers rich and accurate colors.

The OLED displays that used in the iPhone 16 Plus lineup will be more power efficient thanks to improved materials.

Apple is using Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology for some of the iPhone 16 models, which is expected to result in slimmer bezel sizes. BRS allows for a more compact and efficient layout of the circuitry under the display, allowing for thinner bezels without impacting display performance.
