The iPhone 14 Plus was launched in September 2022 alongside the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. Pre-orders began on September 17, 2022, and the devices were made available on September 16, 2022. It landed in Kenya in October 2022.  The iPhone 14 Plus is available at City hub at Ksh.96,000 for the 128GB and Ksh.109,000 for the 256GB.

Design

The iPhone 14 Plus feature a durable and sleek aerospace-grade aluminum design in five beautiful finishes. And brings about a more significant redesign in the inclusion of the Dynamic Island. It may introduce refined edges and possibly a thinner profile compared to its predecessors, offering a comfortable grip and a modern aesthetic.

Display

The iPhone 14 Plus is equipped with a stunning Super Retina XDR OLED display, offering vibrant colors, deep blacks, and high contrast. The panel supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, wide-color gamut, True Tone, and it is advertised to have 800nits of maximum brightness and 1200nits of peak brightness.

It has the same 6.7-inch display-diagonal with the exact same notch. Its general shape and curves are exactly the same, and so is the in-hand feel.

The iPhone 14 Plus model introduces a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED, same size as the 14 Pro Max, and with a similar resolution, too – 2,778 x 1,284 pixels or 458ppi.

Camera

The iPhone 14 Plus has three cameras, just like the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14. There are two at the back – a 12MP wide-angle primary and a 12MP ultrawide-angle secondary. There is also a 12MP front camera for selfies.

Through a deep integration of hardware and software, Photonic Engine improves mid- to low-light performance for photos across all cameras: up to 2x on the Ultra-Wide camera, 2x on the True Depth camera, and an impressive 2.5x on the new Main camera.
